How to enjoy the Neo area
“Cycle Train” where you ride a BMX on the local railway “Tarumi Railway” and an activity where you can play at a BMX park located in the forest.
This is an all-weather BMX park located in an abandoned school, where you can use a “sponge pool” and “pump track.”
You can enjoy the “Usuzumi-zakura” tree, which is one of Japan's five major cherry trees and is over 1,500 years old and is a national natural monument, and the special natural monument “Kikuka-ishi”, which has a beautiful chrysanthemum pattern and is said to be the best ornamental stone.
You can enjoy bonfires and log cabins at NEO Camping Park, a vast campsite along the mountain stream, and Sumiyoshiya, a legendary inn where novelist Uno Chiyo, who wrote “Usuzumi no Sakura,” is said to have stayed. You can enjoy seasonal kaiseki dishes such as matsutake mushrooms and sweetfish.
